October 26, 2013 4A Midwest Regional Championship Beeson Park, Kernersville 35 degrees and beautiful Girls' Results
9th out of 19 teams with 285 points; 133 runners If you race a Regional and have almost all your top 7! run personal bests, you know you have given it your all. This was an awesome team race. You ladies have improved so dramatically over such a short period of time - it is unreal. I am so happy for you and your accomplishments today. Finishing in the top 10 is a big step and an encouraging one for the future. Today should be a source of inspiration because you ran so well in a Championship meet. Eryn, that was a tremendous race and should have been rewarded with a State Championship birth. Nonetheless, it was a remarkable race to end your XC career at JHS. It is encouraging to know that if you continue to train and push yourselves to excel that improving is not only possibly - but likely. I am hopeful each of you will strive to achieve personal excellence and dedicate yourselves to being the most competitive team possible. Your improvement and development is entirely in your hands. "Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. -PattiSue Plumer, U.S. OlympianIt helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about." |
