What we lack in natural skill and ability must be compensated for with a steel resolve to work smarter and harder and longer than everyone else.

Success is a result of working smarter, harder and longer than others. Working with purpose and passion and then hanging on while others give in or give up is one of the factors leading to success. “Without discipline to rise before dawn and pound out the miles, you’ll never make it. If the fire in your heart isn’t strong, there’s no point trying.” (Karnazes)

The human body certainly has limitations, but it is capable of amazing physical feats and running fast is one of those feats that if you imagine it, believe it and work towards it, can achieve it. Your desire to get better isn’t sufficient, for you must have a smart plan, the dedication to stick to it, and the resolve to endure through difficult periods.
