Team Stats:

1-5 Gap: 1 minute and 35 seconds (Good enough to be CHAMPIONS!!)

The John Gray Cup is home for the 14th time in the 25 year history of the Championship event. History was rewritten with 19 points, the lowest total since the 2001 team which ran 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at Duke. The 49 point margin was the largest since that team which featured North Carolina State Champion Kate Merrill. The 1-5 average was 21:36 and the 6th fastest group. KG was the 15th individual winner (some Jordan girls won the event more than once) and KG’s time was the 9th fastest in history behind Jordan greats Michelle Lutz, Kate Merrill, Natalie Umesi, Priya Khatri and current runner Sam Ray. Congratulations to KG, Woody, Kimmie, and Shelby on their All-City-County awards AGAIN. Special applause goes to Vanessa Canuto for racing her way to the podium with a 7th place finish. You ladies should be very proud of how you performed. Enjoy it while continuing to work hard to get better. Think about being All-Conference now…
